Videoconference

About the Service

As unified communications solutions are gaining headway with businesses, video conferencing software is becoming a popular choice for mobile communication. The rising demand for tablets, smartphones and laptops speaks to the marked increase of employers adopting BYOD (bring-your-own-device) policies.

In this context DEI starts offering to its community, at rooms D.1.6 and A.52, a videoconferencing solution which allows the use of personal mobile devices as videoconference equipment.

This equipment has a camera, microphones and speakers so that all the elements present in the room can actively participate in videoconference.

The following types of sessions/solutions are possible with this room:

  • Local Presentations
  • Skype
  • WebEx
  • GoToMeeting
  • Google Hangouts
  • SIP and H323 Software Clients

How to Use the Service

You must reserve our videoconference rooms D.1.6 and A.5.2 at http://infordocente.uc.pt.

We recommend conducting a test at least 2 days prior to the scheduled session. If you need help, send an email to helpdesk@dei.uc.pt.
